Jerky text scroll
I’m an After Effects newbie working on a cheesy star wars intro text scroll. I used the tutorial from stephenschleicher.com. Everything worked out great, except that the scrolling text pauses for about a half-second or a second every now and then. Any idea how to get rid of that jerky pause. It only occurs about every 5-10 seconds without any regularity that I can detect. I already enabled frame blending for that layer, so I dont’ think that is it. Any ideas?

How are you viewing it when you see the pause?
– RAM preview?
– rendered file, if so, which codec was used to render it? It should be one with a low enough data rate to play back smoothly from your HD.Steve

I have rendered it in Flash and WMV with the same results. The WMV was rendered using the 9.1 codec. Do you think rendering it to MPEG would change anything?
