So I shot some footage with my 7D, converted it to Pro Res HQ 422 through compressor.. edited it in FCP7 sent it to color, sent it back to FCP and although it looks great in FCP, I get jagged edges when rendering.. I have tried Pro Res HQ, H.264, and even just using defaults… I don’t get it.. Any ideas of what might be causing me problems?

Is there any scaling involved in your exports?

Make sure your field dominance is set to none throughout your entire process. Double check clip settings in both the browser and the timeline as well as the project settings in color.

Open your transcoded footage in quicktime. How do they look? Smooth or Jaggy? Have you tried exporting a small 10 sec piece before sending it to color?

It sounds to me, as mentioned earlier, that the footage is scaling wrong or your settings or mismatch your footage.
