I hope I can talk the talk. I use four track audio in my Vegas and would like to use Izotope RX 2 to fix the audio. I notice that when
I tried to use Izotope music and speach it wouldn’t let me bring all four tracks in. My boss bought this program for me to use and I am
completely green as to how to use this. I really like what I see
with Izotope RX Advance …..would really like to know how to use it.

“I tried to use Izotope music and speach it wouldn’t let me bring all four tracks in.”

As far as I know, none of the iZotope products will let you bring in more than one track at once.

I believe that is a two track stereo editor….Some programs like Sony Sound Forge 9&10 allows multi channel. I believe you can use the RX plugins as well in SF. If you have SF that may be a way to work on all 4 at the same time….good luck!

    You’re very welcome Patti.
I have it (just RX, not advanced and still have to find the time to sit down and learn it) and agree that iZotope can be overwhelming.
The videos and other tutorials should help you to get started on your way to mastering it.

HI Scott I do have SF 9 and 10. I guess I’ll have to edit there first then import into Vegas. The recording is 4 track with the video. Thanks for the help

    Hi Mike
I really appreciate the feedback. I almost didn’t want to post here
because of all the very professional people. My thinking is everyone
starts somewhere. I know what I’m going to do for a while…watching
you tube and a lot of reading and practice.

    Again Thank you for helping.

Patti, always keep in mind that none of us were born knowing Vegas and a myriad of other programs.
We learned them the hard way, just as you’re doing now.
My guess is that in less than a year’s time, you’re going to become one of our “go to” iZotope experts 🙂

I’m the first to admit that I don’t know Vegas as well as I should but I know enough to get my work done.
If I’m not sure about something, I do like you do and ask a question(s).
I usually get the answer(s) very quickly as this is a great forum with helpful users who are always willing to share their expertise.

If you are in Vegas, you can right click the audio file and select open in SF OR Open COPY in SF, I usually do the copy, because you leave the original alone and also, it just grabs the audio. If you installed Vegas after SF, you will need to set that as your audio editor under preferences.

    Hi Scott
I do right click and bring it into SF. My thought on this is
Cleaning up the 4 tracks separate from each other and then bringing
them back into Vegas at some point. That way I can use my RX 2 adv.
I thought it be easier that way. Going back and forth is also time
consuming. We have people in our lectures that don’t turn off
there cell phones (no matter how many times I ask). There is all
kinds of interference in the audio. Also people cant keep from
fingering the mic. Thats the kind of noise I have every week. I have stopped the lecture in the middle to make my point. (Knowing that I can cut that out. ) This RX 2 I’m hoping will take care of
    all that.
    Thanks Scott

    Hi Mike
You know what I really like is learning and having the tools to do that. Maybe someday I’ll get it right for now I really appreciate
    this site.
    Thanks for the encouragement
