  • IvyGrower 1.2 – grow fewer vines / less densely-packed vines

    Hey there everyone,

I’m diving into the awesome IvyGrower plugin by Kuroyume (https://www.kuroyumes-developmentzone.com/cinema-4d/free-plugins/) and I’ve had some positive results, but I do have some issues coming up that I can’t seem to figure out.

Right now I’ve got my ivy growing successfully over my model, but it just grows so densely– vines all over the place. I’m hoping there’s a way to tell IvyGrower to “branch” less often or have vines die more often, resulting in fewer overall vines. I’ve pored over the help and tweaked every slider in the Growth tab of the tool, can’t seem to figure it out.

Any tips are much appreciated! Thanks,

Branch Density needs to be lower, probably a lot lower than you have tried.

    Hi there Brian,

Boy, how did I miss that? I didn’t even think to start really cutting that value down– even reducing it to zero to get a single vine going seems to be working great.

Thanks so much for the help!
