It’s November— Any Word on PP2.0?
Posted by Richard Milner on November 7, 2005 at 8:39 pmWell the end of the year is approaching fast. If as Lyn N has suggested that Adobe tends to release stuff before the end of the year, that window is now open.
Any guesses if it’s a Thanksgiving present( I will be giving much thanks if it solves lots of issues), a Christmas present, or a New Year’s present( I will be hung over from drowning my sorrows from false hopes on release dates in 2005)?
I know “the people that say don’t know” and “the people that know won’t say”. Just thought it would be “fun” to keep the issue out in front where it belongs.

Hmmm…I’ve not known Adobe to release on a calendar schedule. This release will come out when it’s ready…
Those that know have signed an NDA…and I believe I’ve heard that revealing you’ve signed the NDA…violates the NDA.
🙂 I don’t know that I’d get too wound about it until there’s an announcement.

November 8, 2005 at 4:14 amYou will usually know when it is about 30 days from being shipped. So that probably lets out Thanksgiving. Watch the European press. They always seem to leak it first.

All that means is that product replacement must be close enough where Adobe decided not to do another manufacturing run…I doubt it can be used to extrapolate a date.
I would think that the sales channel still has inventory…someplace.

November 8, 2005 at 11:20 pmAfter Effects 7 has been announced a couple places, so I’m sure the PremierePro (and the rest of the video collection) can’t be far away. I’m getting excited!

I found this on a Google search for premiere pro 2.0 (the exact phrase)
http://www.directshopper.de/ adobe-premiere-pro-v2-en-cd-w32-retail_multimedia-cd_p – 8k –
When translated into English, it said that it would be available in 7 to 10 days. Let see how accurate they are.

Hmmm… interesting. Let’s just say that I would be surprised to see that happen.

November 9, 2005 at 1:55 pmHey Tim,
Maybe Avid has taken over Adobe and are selling their own version 2 of Premiere. Sorry, we’re quickly approaching the industry “funny” season.Redgum Television Productions

Yes we are indeed… Liquid Premiere Express Edition Pro with Mojo I/O coming to a dealer near you. It has so many features…you’ll need a week just to launch the app.
