Its fall and clients want falling leaves. I have 5 nice photos of autumn leaves. Is there a plug-in or effect that will clone my leaves? I have tried making different comps to add more layers but I am still keyfaming every leaf.
    Thanks

    Trapcode particular 🙂

if you have combustion, there is a preset for falling leaves particles, i used that preset in our last spot.

If you don’t have Trapcode and don’t wanna spend the money, I think Particle Playground would work too. Just set the layer map to one of your leaves and adjust the random settings accordingly.

Using AE, will look at Particle Playground.

try using the shatter. Use a custom shape so that your leaves are each a piece. Play with where the camera sits and change the gravity direction to get the desired look. It can look pretty good and I think will be less render heavy than PP…..maybe someone can expand on the finer details of doing it this way

Ayato’s got a pretty good falling petals tutorial, i’m sure you could adapt it.
