  • It is possible to make FCPX ignore AJA io4k hardware?

I am using QTAKE HDX4 for 4 camera video assist on a movies and commercials. I want to edit with FCPX in the background. I do not need to playback or capture in FCPX I just don’t want it to mess with the io4k that Qtake HD is using.

    Turn off “A/V Output”.

That turns off the video but there is still a conflict when going back to QtakeHD.
I’m think I need to remove/rename the Aja Plugin.

    What is happening exactly?

If you turn off AV output, the hardware should be released. I’d also turn off the AJA device in the sound output of sys prefs.
