Horrible title for a post but couldn’t think of anything appropriate.
Using Premiere Pro CS4…the scenario is as follows.

Video Track 1 = static PNG background, no fx.
Video Tracks 2-9 = small .jpg’s, 60% transparent, motion on all tracks.

Problem: The Vid.1 track is full screen until play head hits the start of the 8 other tracks and then the track-1 graphic shrinks approximately 2-4% leaving a black line along the top & bottom of the video. I have tried increasing the size of the track-1 graphic by 3% and it looks good until it renders, then Premiere ‘compensates’ and the lines are back. This occurs in the timeline and it also transfers to the output video.

The video in question is below; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3po4x68cZ8.
The title does not affect the track-1 background but as soon as the moving montage starts you’ll see the background jump slightly when it shrinks. (if the progress bar is up you may not see the line but you’ll definitely see movement in the background image at the start and end.)
You’ll also see the lines vanish at the end just as the final montage fades out…the graphic jumps back to normal size.

Any thoughts? It’s probably a setting I don’t know about or a problem with my workflow. No one’s ever said anything but I notice it and I’d like to fix it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Have you verified that the “motion” settings for the graphic image in Track #1 are set to no scaling or movement? No changes? No keyframes?

Thanks for the suggestion and yes I have checked. It is in the default motion setting throughout and I even tried locking the track just to see if it had any effect but to no avail.

I see no connection between the movement of the upper tracks and Track1 but I’d love to find out so I can fix this problem.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
