    Strange behavior.

I’ve been having consistent lagging problems with slow performance and spinning beach balls of death with FCP 1.1 and Mavericks. Seems like it’s not uncommon.

Just for yucks, I tried logging in as a new user and opening my library.

Strange behavior… my events all show up as folders in my FCPX event browser. I see a few of my projects and clips, but mostly they are all missing.

My previous events which are now folders, have nothing in them… no clips, no projects.

And if I go back to my original user, it’s all back where it should be.

I’m wondering why the same library with the same structure of events and projects is getting read differently by different users.

Meanwhile, I’m going back to my original user and just pushing through the sluggishness.

Oh for the days of 10.0.9.

Perhaps you don’t have permissions set to everyone for your user’s files so when another user logs into the system they won’t read.
