  • Issue with importing image sequence

Posted by David Del on July 8, 2008 at 2:36 pm

I am working on a project that is using a 3D camera. I recently imported an image sequence into the project, but when I place it on the time-line, it does not show up at all in the comp. window. I have turned off all of the eyeballs, solo’d the layer and it is no where to be found.
I then started a new project and brought it in and there is no issue. I am not sure what the reason is. I am going to have to render out the image sequence in a new comp or should I try to pre-compose the image sequence layer in the comp that is giving me issues?

Not sure what you mean. When you bring the sequence into the timeline does it appear in the layers list? Does the sequence have alpha?

Did you set the image sequence as a 3D layer? Are there lights in your composition? If the layer is 3D what is it’s location and what is the camera’s location/point of interest? Is Depth of Field on?

I can’t even see a bounding box around the object – so I can’t even zoom out and see it anywhere!
I have tried to turn it into a 3D layer and I still can’t see it in the comp.
As I said, even when solo’d, it doesn’t show in the COMP window, but it is VISIBLE in the timeline. Does that make sense?

And yes, it does have an alpha channel. Forgot to mention that.

What is your current view? ‘Active Camera’? ‘Front’? ‘Left’?
