    Hello,

I know you can isolate one color in FCP using 3 way color correction, but how do you isolate muiltiple colors in the same frame like the beginning of this video?

I am going to be shooting a video where they want me to isolate 3 different colors and I don’t know how to do more than one and make it look so clean…help

Consider doing this in Color. Its free, installed with FCP and can do multiple secondaries – upto 8.

Add another iteration of the CC 3 way, then isolate the second color, etc. Note: it helps to turn the other layers off while you are isolating your new color.

You take the clip into Color
    Go to the secondary room
    go to secondary 1
    enable secondary CC
pick the color you need to change
    tweak the key
    adjust the color
    go to secondary 2
    enable secondary CC
    repeat for another color
    go to secondary 3
    enable secondary CC
    repeat for another color

You can do this for up to 8 Secondary CCs

Sorry, I hate to be a nuisance with noob questions…but I can’t send any files to color, the option is greyed out…do you know any reason why FCP or COLOR would do this? and is there a way to fix it???

adding another CC 3 way doesnt work. The 2 filters seem to negate eachother or only one works..

Does this really work because I might be doing this wrong. Whenever I seem to do what you told me to do….all the filters seem to negate eachother..
