is zaxwerks plugin free?
for some reason i thought the zaxwerks 3d title tool was a free plugin on the after effects disc. is this true or does it have to be bought?

No, Zax is no longer included for free in AE (Zax Standard was included until AE 5.5, but for most stuff you still needed to upgrade to Pro).
