Is this rendering time reasonable or unreasonable?
I’m rendering a 3 hour long video at 256×144 pixels, and it’s taken like 4 hours, Premiere Pro says 6 hours left, and Premiere Pro keeps increasing the estimate. This is annoying me greatly. This seems unreasonable. Sure, it’s a long video, but it’s moving along so incredibly slowly.

You need to tell a bit more.
Is your input 6K scaled down with lots of effects?Try divide and conquer. Take one clip, render out, remove some effects, try again. Then you will know where the pitfalls are.
Also, do something ‘normal’, see if that works as expected. If not, something is wrong with your setup.

Are you sure you have enough system memory freed up to handle the rendering? That’s where this kind of problem happens to me; when my available system memory or the media drive I’m rendering to are too crowded.

Like Bouke said, more info. We have no idea what source video you are working with, what effects…and what computer hardware. Perhaps for an under-powered laptop such export times would be expected. But we have nothing to go on at this point.
