  • Is this Possible? Dual Link SDI to 15-pin mini D-sub cable???

Is it possible to view a 1080 23.98 fsp image coming out of a Kona2 card (KBox) on a Sony Multiscan E500 CRT monitor? Basically, I’m wondering if (with some adaptor?) one can send Dual-Link SDI over a 15-pin mini D-sub monitor cable. If anybody knows the answer to this, please let me know – thanks!

    you mean the CDP-E500

    SPEC on this monitor –
Input signals: Analog RGB 0.7 volts peak-to-peak, 75 ohms; separate synch, composite synch, 1 to 5 volts peak-to-peak, TTL, synch-on-green 0.3 volts peak-to-peak, negative
    Input connector/cable: Captive 15-pin mini D-sub

It has a VGA input, that takes in RGB with seperate sync – the K Box will feed it sync on green – so the answer is NO.

Get a Dell 2407 if you want a cheap HD monitor that can be used with the K Box.
