  • Is this possible to do with plugins? (fly in text)

Hi, I’d like to have a document (or something that looks like a printed document) and as you move towards it, the letters seperate from the paper and you ‘fly through’ the text in 3D.

So I can alpha out all the text and move each, etc… but I’m sure there’s a better/faster way to do this.

Easily done in After Effects, just turn on the 3D switches for those two layers. Separate them in z-space. Your text will not be extruded unless you purchase a 3D plug like Zax.
3D is about nine times as difficult to create and takes about 18 times as long to render.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Card Dance, Baby. Sorry ’bout that, Vegas and card dance bring it out in me.

    Have you seen Ayato 49?

    https://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae49_e.html

His stuff can be very cryptic, so in the Green Left Column here at the Cow, Search Posts > Advanced Search with these settings:

    Search Term: Ayato 49

How far back do you want to search?: All Active Posts

    Search Archives?: yes

And you’ll get lots of help, many have struggled down the Ayato Trail.

You can also distribute layers in 3D space easier with this:

    https://www.aenhancers.com/

Expressions Library > Distribute Layers in 3D Space
