is this possible in vegas?
ok so i’m fairly experienced using sony vegas pro 8.0 but i had a vision for a future project of mine and i’m not sure if this can be done in vegas or if i need after effects or something; i was envisioning the view moving through the sky until it came upon one cloud and then there was my text for my intro and stuff… and then it peered down through the cloud and into the world where my video began… is this possible? how could i do this?

You would need the video of the moving clouds but to really make it look convincing you would need to do this in a 3D application (not After Effects) but you could get close with Vegas using 3D Track Motion. The only problem is that when you turn to look down it may become obvious that these are just 2D planes. That’s why it really needs a 3D application to generate real depth.
