Footage #1: (In front of Green screen) My son in werewolf
mask hopping up and down in agony

Footage #2: Exterior shop of street i n front of my house. A
    car drives by.

In after effects I keyed out Footage # 1 and scaled the “Werewolf up” to look like a giant.

I want to make it look like the car in Footage #2 drove ove the werewolf’s foot.

When I plce the “Wrewolf” over Footage # 2, he is in front of the car.
I know thiswould work better if I green screened the car as separte footage and JPG’ed the street but its kind of hard to green screeen a moving car with a 6×9 screen!

I dont know AE that well but Im sure this is a MASKING job ofor something. Since the car passes just below the “Werewolf’s” knees, is there a way to “hide” that area of his body gradually as the care passes-like gradually changing the opacity of just his lower body or masking it out as the car passes?

If so, I need to kow how to do it step by step-or if there is a tutorial out there that would be better.

It’s not a big deal if the car only changes position, not shape, through the shot. You can keyframe the mask shape parameter by moving the mask across the screen.

Watch the footage back and forth, looking for places where the motion or shape of the object changes (those are “points of inflection”). Add intermediate keys only at these points. Don’t go frame-by-frame, and don’t pick an arbitrary interval (like 10 frames) to add keys. AE can interpolate the mask shape between points of inflection, so don’t go adding mask points anywhere else.
