I have several 3-D layers. I am using advanced 3-D.
When changing the layer order of one of my 3-D layers, sometimes it appears in front of another whether or not it is closer in Z space. Not only did I think this was only an occurence of basic 3-D (not advanced 3-D), but the layer I am putting it in front of isn’t even the layer that is directly by it in space.
This question is hard to explain, but maybe someone knows what I’m talking about.

    Thanks,
    IAn.

have you got some 2D layers in between this 3D layer.. ?
A 2D layer in between separates the 3D layers like 2 precomposition (without condensed option on)

this is a common issue wanted by AE

Make sure all of your 3d pre-comps are BELOW any regular 3d layers —- and be careful of adjustment layers within comped 3d layers — they break things up.

I’m sure there are more quirks, but those are some I’ve personally run into.
