I’ve just updated a project that was done in FCPX 10.06 and I’ve performed the “update projects and events” and everything is working fine but here’s the problem when I try to “duplicate project as snapshot” nothing happens, there’s no duplicate. Is this a bug or am I not doing something correctly?

Projects are now stored in Events.

When you snapshot a Project, you need to find the Event in which the Project is living.

The easiest way to do this is to use the Reveal Project in Browser command (I think the default command is command-shift-option-f). Once there, you should see the snapshot Project. They have really long and dated names.

I just tried the “reveal project in browser” command and all it shows me is the actual project and not the snapshot, I’ve even manually looked through every event and did not see it at all. The duplicate project as snapshot works fine in all the projects that were created using 10.1

The point of the reveal is to get you back to the proper Event.

You can then see all the Projects on the Event.

If you don’t see any snapshots, then yes, it sounds like a bug.

If you make a new Project, will that snapshot? If so, copy/paste your updated Project in to a new one.

I would also report this to Apple.
