    Hi there,

I’m about to begin editing a documentary shot with the Canon 7D. Audio is recorded separately on a P2 Camera. So, on FCP i have to synchronize the 7D clips with the correspondent P2 audio clip.
I know i can do that creating multiclips, but i’m looking for something similar to Avid’s “Autosync”, just linking one video file with a separate audio file by creating a new clip. That is way easier to work with than with multiclips.

So, do you people have any idea on that? Thanks in advance!

    Joan.

    Hi Joan,
You might want yo check the user manual for “Merge Clip” and see if that meets your needs … you might also want to consider exporting your merged clips as reference or self contained movies.
    Best
