    Hello

I am exporting audio and am trying to line it up perfectly…I move from frame to frame and then try to set the work area..but its hard to get those little vertical lines to be exact…obviously its easier with video as you can see and edit frame by frame….so is there an easier way?

    Thanks

Use the shortcut keys to set the in and out points of the workarea. Just set the CTI where you want it first. Or, if you slice the audio with the razor, the edges of the work area should snap to them.

Jack – a precise audio edit in PremPro is difficult – I agree that locating the exact point can be a bit haphazard.

Sometimes it involves a bit of trial and error.

eg Set in and out points and then use the shortcut key to “Play from IN to OUT”. Listen closely and adjust the points to the degree required then set the work area bar to the points for export.

ALT-clicking the timeline clip audio opens a clip window with the waveform that can be expanded to help with precise edits of the audio.

I do not know if this helps but I highlight the audio track I want to move , increase the size to one frame, and holding down the ALT key press the left or right arrow key, this moves the audio clip one frame at a time left or right. David
