  • Is there a way to reimport .avi files and relink? Or must I edit from scratch?

Hi. I’ve given up in regards to unsolved problem of my last post — unless I figure out what is going on, I’m going to call my media in my OMFI Media directory corrupted and useless. So…

My media was imported from DV .avi files, not captured. If I re-import all the media I need, is there a way to relink? Or do I have to conform my edit from scratch?

    Thank you!

Instead batch capturing the clips in your bins, you can also batch import your material. Go to bin where the masterclips are-> Highlight the masterclips you want-> Click batch import from the clip or bin menu and you have to point out the location of the files.

This is if you used existing avi’s as source material. If not, and you’ve exported clips as avi’s and now you want want them back again, i don’t think that that is possible. The system doesn’t regognize them

    good luck
