  • Is there a way to keyframe the “Invert Mask” checkbox?

I want to instantly reveal a layer whose full-screen mask was previously moved off screen as part of another effect sequence. I could move the mask back to fill the screen, which would reveal the layer but since clicking the Invert Mask checkbox accomplishes the same thing — but has no keyframe control — I’m curious about whether there’s a trick to automating that checkbox using keyframing.

There’s no way to keyframe checkboxes. You’re better off keyframing the masks position.

    Hi…

You could also duplicate the first mask object.
    then invert the duplication
then just trim the mask objects in the timeline at the point of the state change.
