i have a scene with an orthogonal camera.
(and i have already rendered several elements from this camera angle)

however now i have to add few more objects to the existing model (these new objects are to be rendered with matte applied to old objects) which should be layered seamlessly with the previously rendered objects.

Problem: i can not really afford to change the camera so as to disturb the previous view, because i have rendered a lot of sequences already and i am trying to avoid re rendering the whole thing from scratch.

what i am seeking: is there a way to keep the existing view and only increase the width/ height of the camera view, (imagine it as using the crop tool in photoshop – you have a image and you can just extend the canvas to have more room without disturbing the old elements) (basically the “Film Offset” feature in the camera object tab doing it for both ways)

i would appreciate if anyone might any ideas/thoughts or a workaround.

    thanks
    m.

PS: i hope i was able to explain myself, if not let me know i will try again.
