  is there a way to expand layer boundaries?

  Hi

  I’m new here so I hope I’m posting in the right section.

  I have this very basic, but annoying issue : I’m often stuck with the layers boundaries.

  1)when applying an effect to a shape/solid layer : for ex, applying “rough edges” on a circle layer, or on a solid layer with a circle mask, gives the same result : the effect is cropped at the edges of the shape.

  Eg :

  2)when applying an effect to a composition. Unfortunately, I don’t have an example at hand, but I’m trying my luck, just in case.

  I tried the “grow bounds” effect, but it doesn’t seem to work that way.
