Is there a way to collapse or open the entire BIN TREE in FCP
OK, maybe I’m naive, but:
Is there a way to collapse (or open) all the trees in the BIN? Ya know, you go to open a BIN with several more bins inside, but it turns out that all the bins within that tree were left open (with forty folders in each), and you end up going to every tree level to close them one by one.
I know in another system I work on, I can SHIFT+Ctrl click any tree to collapse or open ALL.
Does FCP have such an animal??

I’m not in front of a system, but doesn’t option or command do the trick?

After much experimentation, I don’t believe there is a way to do this in Final Cut. It seems like one of the most basic bin management operations… Avid has had it as long as I can remember… and it drives me crazy when working with a huge project with lots of bins.
The same way you apparently can’t close all open tabs at once… it’s a little interface thing that shows how far Final Cut has yet to go to catch up to Avid…
