  • Is there a way of creating layer boundaries when using CC Tiler?

    Hi there

basically ive got a load of patterns in photoshop that ive saved all into one psd document and then brought that into photoshop. one of the layers i want to use cc tiler on but because the photoshop docutment is really big the tiling doesnt work that well. i want to create like boundaries around that layer so the tiling is more close together…if that makes sense? is this possible? i know i could just save each layer out as a jpeg in the correct layer size but just wondered if there was a way of getting around this in photoshop?

    cheers!

I’m not understanding your description of the boundaries bit.

But if you want to resize the layer, then apply Distort-.Transform and work on the Scale pproperty there. Then apply CC Tiler.

basically i want to be able to effectively crop the layer so that when it tiles, they are all quite close to each other….if that makes sense?

Wouldn’t masking allow you to crop what you don’t need? To get it to work on all layers, Apply the mask to a black solid and then set its BlendingMode to StencilAlpha. This procedure will out/crop all underlying layers.

Not sure if I get you right but why not precompose the layer before applying the tile effect, you could then scale or reposition the layer within the nested comp to crop off or add borders.
