    It seems like this would be an easy tool to create: Search an audio file to find all places where the waveform exceeded a certain level – then it would reduce each peak by a predetermined amount. We reduce amplification manually and it is a time waster.

    Any suggestions?

    Compression. Perhaps not quite as fine as what you’re doing.

    I use the Waves L1 for this pourpose….Steve C.
