is there a plug-in that can create lightrays effect, like shine, etc…, but in z-space
Shine and the Light Rays plug-in form Final Effects create rays in x and y space, I believe; I have a layer that I need to fly a camera above and need the camera to fly through the rays not the laver. Think of a lot of spotlights pointing straight up and a camera flying through them. However, I need to do this to a layer w text using the Ball Action plug-in. I hope I’m clear in my description; any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

You can fake the effect using shine and expressions, but it’s never gonna look like “the real thing”. What you want is true volumetrics and at this point that can only be done with Lux (also from Trapcode) but it does not consider shadows or intersection of objects.
