is there a good 2-7 day field audio production training course out there?
We’re going to be moving forward on a documentary travel series – and for reasons too complex to explain here, we’ll be working with a young photographer as a sound guy on the series. He has no sound experience. He’s smart and energetic, and so i feel ok about it (given that we’ve got 4 months to train him) – but the first thing that i’m looking at doing is getting him in a sound production course of some sort, so he’s got a good baseline from which to learn how to do this.
the focus of the course should be on field production, not studio, and geared towards documentary ideally.do any of you know a program like i’m describing?

Go to my site. Click on the On Line Archives n column #2. Look in the Video Folder for the 29 MB mic tutorial mp4.
That’ll give you a good leg up. My little book (info about it on my site) will also fill in lots of blanks, but nothing takes the place of experienced ears.
