is there a danger in uploading 2 editing programs?
i had vegas 7.0 and got my computer upgraded..they put movie studio pro 12 into it and discarded my vegas 7.0 – took it home and realized old vegas .veg files cannot be imported to platinum 12 .vg – so it seems the only way is for me to find my vegas 7.0 again and install it so i can still edit my old files.. – my question
1 – has anyone found a way yet to transform .veg files into .vg files or import to movie studio 12.0 – from what i read it seems the answer is no…
2 – if this is the case..will there be any problem if i install vegas 7.0? I want to keep the movie studio 12.0 but i also want to open vegas 7.0 occasionally to work on my older files..if i install 7.0 will it affect any of my video settings for 12.0? I wanted to check if it was safe before I went searching to try and find my old 7.0

No. You can open Movie Studio files in Vegas Pro but you can’t open Vegas Pro files in Movie Studio and there is no way to convert them that I know of.

No problem at all. I have Vegas Pro 12.0 and 11.0 and Movie Studio 12.0 running on my computer without any problems.
