I have an interview chopped up that needs some overall audio love more than Premiere is able to share. I want to be able to just select the multiple clips of the chopped up interview, and send it over as a mixed-down clip that I can use in Audition to do noise reduction and stuff. I know there are ways obviously to copy/paste into new sequence as export out the audio as a WAV or whatever, and then import, edit, save, replace in the edit….sheeesh! Lotta steps. This is something I tend to need to do a lot and was looking for some kind of a slick workflow to not disrupt the editing flow when a section just needs a little polish.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

In your timeline use the panel context menu to enable work area.

trim your work area to just aroud the area containing the clips.

in project panel choose the seq, right click, choose

    Edit in Audition > Sequence

in the panel that pops set to work area

this will push soft edits to Audition as multitrack.

in audition you can edit as multitrack…

or bounce to a single track and edit that file

doesn’t seem to have a full round trip….

but that should get you a lot of the way there…

If the clips aren’t contiguous you can select them and nest them. Then send that nested sequence to Audition. You can then send it back as stems or as a single clip.
