    Hi There!

I’m a long time Final Cut Pro editor and I’m making the switch to Adobe Premiere. It seems pretty similar but there are a few things that I’m still trying to figure out. I have Mac OSX 10.6.8 with Adobe CS5. I’m shooting on a Sony XDCAM. I have two SD cards that have footage on them that I need to import into Premiere, but only one SD Card reader. I love that Premiere supports so many different file formats and importing files seems to be easy. However, after I import my clips from one SD card and eject it to insert another, Premiere now says that my files from the first card are offline.

In Final Cut, I did a “log and transfer” and it automatically captured and stored my card data onto my designated drive so when I ejected the cards, the files were still there. Does Premiere do something similar or do I need to manually transfer the data outside Premiere?

Also, another random question… Is there a way to split the right and left audio channels on a stereo clip after it’s already in the timeline?

Thanks for any help! Have a great day!
