Is switching from 8bit to 16/32 going to give me better results?
Im currently keying some footage, and my subject has some pretty crazy hair. (like really crazy/frizzy) think scary spice.
anyway.
i garbage matted out her hair, created the softest key i could for her hair whilst still removing the specks from the green screen.
im pretty sure i cant keep all the detail, but im roughly keeping a fair amount, although less then i like or think possible.
i have currently been working in 8bit. im not totally sure what the technical side of this is. but switching to 16/32 will give me more room to make adjustments? colors go instead from 255, to 10000 or something. can i simply switch, do i need to start again, what are the differences i should be on the lookout for. and in what instances is switching up to 16/32 used?
thanks
