  • Is my crawl moving too fast?

I recently had to add a crawl to a :15 second spot I produced for a local cable channel. Used the standard generator that comes with FCP 4.0 to do the job. I was cramming about 15 words (approx: 50 letters) into 11 seconds. I set white text against a hot pink solid bar at the bottom. The crawl, of course moved pretty quickly across the bottom of the screen. The verbiage looked a bit blurry. I don’t know if it was a function of how many words I tried to cram in and how fast it had to move, or if I had just done something wrong. I’ve seen other crawls move pretty fast across a screen and still look pretty good.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I know it seems counterintuitive, but sometimes putting the slightest blur on moving text will make it pop on tv.
