Is it suppose to take this long?

I cannot imagine Google allowing you to mount 90 minutes of video without charging you lots of money but I’m not in that business.

If you've got a 90 minute DVCPRO50 file, you could be looking at a full day of encoding. Compressor is certainly up to the task but you may not like it. If you open up the settings in Compressor you will see there are dozens of adjustments, filters and tweaks you can apply. Encoding for "best possible", like many other esoteric practices in this business, is best left to a trained and qualified specialist. Hire this done by someone who does stuff for google. Or plan on doing it five or six times yourself. You can use one of the h.264 settings for DSL as a starter and work on a small 2-4 minute clip that has a range of exposure and motion content. This is not going to be easy the first few times but you will get to a point where encoding, transcoding and uploading are second nature. you just need to learn a new language that has nothing to do with video. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

ok now I’m trying to use compressor to make a sample clip and it says “Error: An internal error occurred: ContentAgent server not found.”

There’s no mention of this error in the manual.
