February 12, 2007 at 9:51 pmThat helps a great deal….
The only part missing now – is something portable that the AJA card would fit into…..
Dont see myself bringing my MAC pro on location….
Does anyone know of something light and portable that one could carry around which would record uncompressed?

February 12, 2007 at 10:54 pmYou can pull clean keys from DV footage using an After Effects plug-in called DV Matte Pro. They also make a Final Cut version.

February 13, 2007 at 8:31 amDepends on your hardware. If you have a disk array capable of uncompressed SD in 4:4:4, you could downconvert first without loosing anything. If not, I’d rather key in native DVCProHD and downconvert later ro conceal minor artefacts.
