  • Is it possible to loop the vibrate expression?

Posted by Michael Hofer on December 16, 2008 at 10:43 am

    Hi

I did make a dvd menu with some 3d qubes. I want the qubes to wiggle ,so i added the vibrate tag to the qubes. The sound for the dvd menu is 3 minutes long.
Instead of rendereing out the 4500 Frames (25f*180s) it would be nice to loop the vibrate for perhaps 10s and then simply duplicate this loop (e.g. in After Effects) to the hole 3 min.

Is there a solution for this problem?

    Thank you for your effort.

    Regards

I don’t think it’s possible with the vibrate tag.

If you have MoGraph, however, you could use a Shader effector in Deformer>Object mode, set to affect position, with a looping noise in the Shader tab to achieve what you want. You might want to use one Shader effector for each axis of movement (i.e., one for x, one for y, one for z).
