    Is it possible to listen to a sound file in After Effects WITHOUT rendering?

    hi there

    I was just wondering, I am trying to get the timing right on a song in after effects but it gets annoying having to render everytime i move the sound file. Is there any way of listening to the sound file individually by itself without any video or other sound effects?

    The Period key on the numberic keypad starts audio preview. You can hit asterisk on the keypad to leave layer markers while the audio is previewing.
