  • Is it possible to do basic photo editing in FCPX?

I don’t own photoshop or lightroom so I was wondering is it possible to do photo editing inside of FCPX without losing any resolution or photo quality? I heard it said somewhere that HD video is a series of 2 meg photos placed side by side of one another but if I have a photograph that has a much higher resolution than 2 meg will FCPX simply truncate it down when it is exported?

If you want a free photo editing software, try Gimp. I would not try editing photos in FCPX.

Also check out Pixelmator. Not free, but very inexpensive and seriously full featured…

Thanks, I will give both Gimp and Pixelmator a try.
