    Hi there

Well basically when you apply a layer style to a layer with a stroke, it always gives the stroke rounded edges….is it not possible to have on with straight edges if it is for a box for instance? i know when you choose “inside” it kind of does but then u loose the edges of the image…

    thanks in advance!

Sorry but stroke layer styles setting to inside is the only way to do this, and I have been pushing these type of bread & butter features on the Adobe beta’s for years.

Illustrator works much better for strokes. You can copy your photoshop stroke into illustrato as a vector path, stroke it in illustrator and then bring that in as a smart object. I fill with the illustrator path same color incase I am off by a pixel.
