  • Is it possible to change the colour of a black line throughout an animation?

Posted by Daniel Haskett on May 1, 2005 at 2:51 pm

    Hi there

Basically I have an animation in after effects with many different line drawings in it, I was just wondering if there was a way of changing the colour of the black lines to say a purple or something? I know I can change the hue/saturation of each layer individually but is there a way of changing all their colours in one go?

    Thanks in advance!

    Effect>image control>change color?
Applied to an adjustment layer to affect a bunch of layers below?

Pre-comp all the lines and work on the pre comp.

Is it possible to have certain layers beneath the adjustment layer not affected by the color change? I mean can you choose which layers are affected? Only they need to be in a certain order.

    Thanks

Nope, an adjustment layer affects every layer below it.

You could precompose the layers that need to be treated, and apply the effect to the comp.
