Is it possible to animate the path you paint with the pentool?
Ok I dont know what to search for so If i missed this topic im sorry.
I want to use the pentool to write a simple path of 3 dots on a object. The object curves itself more to the end of the clip. So i want to animate the path i just painted with the pentool. I only need to set different keyframes at the end of animation. Then i want to use an image of an ai picture of an arrow to follow and bend like the curv does. You know like text do on the path. Is this possible or do i have to warp and go more advanced?
The problem is that when i paint the path the dots don’t seams to be keyframeable??

I can do it with the puppet tool but I dont se any reason why I could not animate from the paint tool (g).

Regarding animating the path: Are you drawing a shape path on a shape layer, or are you drawing a mask?
Either way, the process is essentially the same. You animate mask paths and shape paths in much the same way that you animate other properties: set keyframes for the Mask Path or Path property, set paths at each keyframe, and After Effects will interpolate between these specified values.

You can also animate a path drawn with a paint tool. See “Animate and edit paint strokes”.

I dont know why it did not animate yesterday since i push the klockwatch. I thouhgt maby it was cause i did not close the shape or something. Now its working to animate.
So can I make an objekt follow the path like the text do? In this case an arrow. Would great if it warped the image when it hits the curved part of the path. Like puppet tool combine with the object following the path almost.
