I am new to DR – Much of the media I am given comes as a Grass Valley HQX 10bit AVI. Is there a way to import the codec to use in DR without have to transcode the files? Please

Resolve isn’t that fond of the AVI container, so no. It can work with HQX encoded video if it uses a quicktime container. Rewrapping is the easiest way to do that. I think Adobe Media Encoder has an option for that (at least in CC 2015).

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
