  • Is Final Cut Studio3 64bit?

Posted by Marc Berry on August 26, 2009 at 1:15 pm

Can’t seem to find info on if the new Final Cut Studio 3 is 64 bit, that is it will take advantage of Snow Leopard’s new structure. If I am right this would give a substantial boost to processing speed and rendering. I don’t believe it it currently is.

    Does anyone have info,

    With thanks,

    Marc

I’m sorry… but haven’t you been reading the threads about FCS3 when it came out.

No… It is not 64-bit. If it were, Apple would have waiting until after releasing Snow Leopard.

FCS3 is more of an update to repair all of the major issues people were having. It would have been much better to call this a point five upgrade than a full point upgrade.
