Is FCP’s compressor and STP’s compressor the same thing?
We like to add some EQ and a compressor to our voice tracks in FCP. And I have tried both the stock FCP compressor/limiter and have taken a round trip through Sound Track Pro and used its compressor.
It seems to me that the STP compressor gives a better sound than the FCP compressor, but i was thinking that they are probably the exact same filter (they’re both made by apple anyway). Are they?
I would rather use the FCP compressor simply beacuse its a faster process than running through STP. But ultimatly I want to get the best sound possible.
