Is “Edit To Tape” broken in 5.1.4?
I’ve been trying all afternoon to get “Edit To Tape” to function (DV sequence). I’ve even tried it on a couple different projects. After I set my in & out points & hit the button, it cues up the deck & rolls, but the program doesn’t play off the computer. All I get is black recorded out to the deck. I’ve done this a hundred times before with no issues, but this is the first time I’ve tried it since upgrading. I’ve tried rebooting everything, but no change. Any thoughts?

I am on 5.1.4 and just did an 88 minute edit to tape via a Decklink card to HDCam. Assemble worked for me but insert not. I suspected the HDCam deck but maybe not. Are you having trouble with assemble or insert?

Have you dragged the sequence from the browser to the edit to tape window and chosen the assemble overlay?

Thanks for your quick response. I found the problem. I had changed something in the Mastering settings, because I was having trouble with “Print to Video” earlier today. Still don’t know why that was acting up, but everything seems fine now.

PTT is often a problem for me too — it was the first thing that made me Trash My Prefs.
Could you tell us what it was that you changed in Mastering settings?
