  Is “Edit source file” destructive or non destructive?

  Well I can’t figure out to make two mono files from one stereo file, but I can affect the channels independently by turning off the right or left channel and the ally the change through the “Edit source file”
  command.

  Is this a non destructive edit of the source file? If so I’m home free! I can use RX4 and effect separately as if they were 2 mono files.

  BUT i don’t want to change the original file permanently.

  Just the facts ma’am1
