  • Is anyone using the Lacie S2S SATA array with their Kona LHe??

Posted by George Loucas on January 3, 2006 at 4:27 pm

I’ve decided to go with the Lacie S2S for my LHe setup but i’ve had the hardest time tracking down a PCIe SATAII card that is confirmed to work with the S2S. The array comes with a PCI-X but obviously that’s of no help.

Does anyone have any info about this??

    appreciate it

I just took delivery of one of these units for testing, but I will be testing it on a G5 Dual 2.0, so that doesn’t help with the PCI-E side of things, but I am interested to see how the thing will perform on some HD projects next week.

    Hi Walter,
Please keep us posted on how this unit performs. I am thinking about getting one myself.
    Thanks,
    Gary

You bet! Right now my office is in complete disarray as we re-wire and re-arrange the entire facility, but it should all be back together by Saturday. I plan to go right into an edit with the unit on Monday.

George, Sonnet has something in the works….at least that’s what I’ve been lead to believe. They should have something by MacWorld or there abouts.
