  Is Addenda Electronics Model RS-2/9 right for Panasonic AJ-D230HP VTR Deck?

  Hey Everyone! If you have the time and knowledge, could you help confirm a purchase choice, for me?

  Well, I’ve finally got the PO’s straightened out for ordering the Addenda deck control converters for use with the IoHD.

  I am ordering the Rs-4/L for making the IoHD talk to a Sony MU25 HDV Deck, and while I was at it, I figured I should also order a converter to allow us to control this old standard def Panasonic AJ-D230HP DVPRO deck that used to be used with a Timegate system.

  The Panasonic has a 9-PIN serial connector labeled RS-232.

  The IoHD has a 9-PIN serial connector labeled RS-422.

  Am I correct in my thinking that the Addenda product I need is their RS-2/9 converter?

  Will this allow me to do “offline pickups” and footage swapping in FCP? I see that one of my Deck Control Presets in FCP Log and Capture is “AJA IoHD Panasonic VTR”. Will this choice and that converter set me right?
